About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Department Manager to lead a team of 5-15 field technicians in the residential stucco, drywall, and paint service industry. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail‑oriented, and skilled at managing both people and processes in a fast‑paced construction environment.
This role oversees scheduling, change order processing, service estimating, and daily operational performance. You will collaborate closely with field staff, customers, and internal leadership to ensure high‑quality service delivery and efficient department operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and support a department of approximately 5-15 residential service technicians.
- Oversee all scheduling functions, ensuring timely and efficient deployment of crews.
- Review, process, and track change order requests through to completion.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates based on field reports, scopes of work, and service needs.
- Review daily, weekly, and monthly department transactions and operational metrics with a strong attention to detail.
- Coordinate with field supervisors, homeowners, builders, and internal teams to ensure service satisfaction.
- Maintain high‑level accuracy in documentation, record‑keeping, and reporting.
- Foster a positive, results‑driven team environment with an emphasis on accountability and professional development.
- Utilize multiple software systems to track scheduling, reporting, and project communications.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a construction services leadership or management role.
- Background in stucco, drywall, or paint services strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and develop service teams.
- Strong understanding of residential construction timelines, punch work, and service processes.
- Above‑average computer proficiency (Office 365, scheduling platforms, CRM tools, etc.).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage high volumes of detail-oriented tasks with accuracy.
